Thermogenic Ingredients for Better Weight Regulation

The regular intake of thermogenic ingredients may lead to better weight regulation and weight loss, according to a study conducted by a group of scientists and published in the “International Journal of Obesity” in April 2010.  Food and drinks containing caffeine, capsaicin and refreshment Chinese teas such as green tea, white tea and oolong tea were suggested in this study as weight regulation tools for more effective weight loss and maintenance.

Certain conditions may affect the regulation of metabolism within the body. These may include the sympathetic nervous system regulation to the degradation of fat stores into usable energy sources and the regular physical activities being carried out by the subject.

However, according to this study, the mentioned themogenic ingredients may result to a 300 to 400 kjoule increase in the daily metabolic rate of an individual which may lead to effective and significant weight loss.  However, further studies and clinical trials are needed to establish this fact in the human obese population.
